Note: If entries exceed 45 in any location, Handicap will be considered for cut off.
After first 02 rounds Tournament Committee/ SLGU may have a cut off based on scores.
Tee off time : 9.00 AM.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and Special Local Rules decided by the Rules Committee which may include or exclude any Local Rules of the Royal Colombo Golf Club will govern play. The Tournament Committee (TC), whose decision shall be final, shall settle any issues relating to the Rules of Golf, Special Local Rules and any other dispute(s) arising concerning The Tournament.
- FORMAT
72 holes stroke-play gross played over four (4) days. As per the WAGR conditions Ladies & Gents should play on the same Tee.
- ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Amateurs with an SLGU recognized Handicap below 20 and Age below 35 as of 01st of April 2022(Only for Gents- Amateurs ) .The TC reserves the right to determine the eligibility of players and the final number of players to be selected will be at the discretion of the SLGU.
- DRAW
The draw for all days of play will be at the discretion of TC and shall be final.
- CANCELLATION
The TC may cancel any round(s) in the event of conditions or circumstances, which make the playing of 72 holes impracticable.
- RETURNING OF SCORE CARD
A player’s scorecard is deemed to be officially returned to the Committee when he has placed/ dropped the Score Card into the Score Card Box positioned in the designated “Scoring Area”. Please ensure Handicap is on the card, and Player and Marker both have signed.
- PACE OF PLAY
It is the responsibility of the player(s) to keep up with the group in front. If any player is identified by the Course Marshall or Rules Officials to be affecting pace of play such player(s) will initially be verbally notified and warned. Any further detections of slow play will incur a one (1) stroke penalty continued slow play will lead to a further penalty and in the 3rd, instance will lead to disqualification from The Trial/ Tournament.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
Will be permitted, However, the device may only measures distance. The use of a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play, such as gradient or wind speed, is not permitted, regardless of whether such an additional function is used or not, and even if that function is disabled.
- MOBILE PHONES
The use of Mobile phones will not be allowed on the course during play except, only when required to contact a member of the Rules Committee and/or of the Tournament Committee. Penalty for breach of this condition shall be the imposition of one (1) stroke penalty or disqualification.
- CADDIES AND CADDY FEES
No caddies allowed for this tournament.
- DRESS CODE
Players must be properly attired while playing on the golf course, practicing on the driving range, putting green.

If wearing Headgear: Cap/Hat/Visor
Dress: As per the Local Clubs rules or Sports Shirts with Collar & Sleeves (must be tucked in) Trouser/Pants. Golf Shoes without metal spikes.
Jeans of any description will not be permitted.
- UNBECOMING CONDUCT (SLGU CODE OF CONDUCT)
Any of the following actions by a Player during The Tournament, constitutes a violation of the SLGU Code of Conduct:
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, indecent behavior, including abusive language, cheating, club throwing, disrespect to volunteers, officials or fellow competitors, or abuse/damage to fauna and flora and golf course property.
- Not adhering to the dress code at the host golf course and Club House
- Use or association with drugs, and or abuse of prohibited substances.
- Vandalism at the host hotel, abusive behavior to host family or property.
- Unbecoming conduct, such as acting in anger or creating other distractions and disturbing fellow golfers.
- Failure to treat host golf course with respect by ignoring the responsibility of caring for the course. Failure to fill divots, repair ball pitch marks, rake bunkers. Failure to dispose litter into bins provided.
- Physical abuse, threat of physical abuse, verbal abuse, slander or libel towards other players, coaches, sponsors, spectators, media personnel, host golf course staff or members, SLGU staff or volunteers in any medium.
- CODE OF CONDUCT VIOLATION& PENALTIES
Any reported breach or violation of the Code of Conduct will result in the Tournament Committee conducting an inquiry. The Tournament Committee may impose any one or all the following penalties based on severity and frequency of the violation(s):
- The imposition of a fine not exceeding LKR1000.00 per breach or violation.
- One-stroke penalty for each act of unsportsmanlike behavior on the golf course.
- Immediate disqualification from The Tournament.
- Depending on the severity of the violation, a tournament disqualification may also result in disqualification from the next event(s) for which a player has been accepted.
- SPECTATOR GUIDELINES
Spectators are not allowed for this Tournament due to current pandemic regulations.
- EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY
The Sri Lanka Golf Union and its management will not be held responsible or held liable for any damage or loss, including personal and or other forms of loss, harm or injury sustained as stipulated below.
- Physical and/or emotional injuries suffered during the Tournament due to any acts of God, suffered as a direct result thereof, including aspects such as being struck by lightning, etc.
- Physical injuries of any kind suffered by any person, including a player or spectator sustained by own negligence, or otherwise.
- Emotional injuries sustained by any loss, including death, suffered as a result of any of the above injuries sustained personally or by a spectator.
- Damage suffered to any property of a player.
The player is deemed to have acknowledged the exemption of liability of the Sri Lanka Golf Union and its management as listed above at the time when he has entered his name for The Tournament.
- TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE& RULES COMMITTEE
A Tournament Committee and a Rules Committee will be appointed by the Council of the Sri Lanka Golf Union before the start of The Tournament. In the event the Tournament Committee is required to make any decision involving penalty or disqualification, each player involved may appoint a non-voting observer to attend the enquiry.
Member(s) of the Rules Committee will be available to be contacted by players for on-course rulings before, during and after The Tournament. Their contact details will be on display prior to the start of each round.
